Checkout Messaging for Subscription Products

If you sell subscription products through Shopify and use Truemed’s qualification link to support HSA/FSA eligibility, we recommend adding approved Truemed messaging directly to your Shopify checkout page. This ensures customers understand how to complete the qualification process and take advantage of potential tax savings.

Adding Truemed copy at checkout helps:

• Educate customers on how to use their HSA/FSA funds.

• Increase completion rates for Truemed health surveys.

• Drive higher conversion and long-term retention for subscription orders.

Copy and paste the following text into your Shopify Checkout Settings under the “Custom message” or “Additional content” section:

Once you've purchased, fill out the Truemed health intake form on your order confirmation page to check if you qualify for HSA/FSA reimbursement.

For most merchants using Checkout Extensibility (the standard Shopify checkout)

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Checkout.

2. Under Customize checkout, click Customize to open the Checkout Editor.

3. In the left-hand panel, select the Checkout page and scroll to the Order summary section (this is where “Discount code” and “Pay now” appear).

4. Click Add block → Text.

5. Paste in the Truemed-approved copy below:

1. Adjust placement so the message appears below the subtotal or near the payment section—as shown in the example.

2. Click Save and Publish.
