We’re thrilled to be partnering with you all and are excited to be offering your qualified customer base the ability to spend with their Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).

We are confident that Truemed will drive meaningful value for your customers and are here to help you be successful. Below are steps that both you and your customers will need to take in order to start spending/accepting pre-tax HSA and FSA dollars.

How do customers save 30% when using HSA/FSA dollars?

Because HSA/FSAs use pre-tax money, your customer is getting more purchasing power for their dollars. Since they are using pre-tax dollars, your customer is essentially saving a percentage equal to their tax rate.

Typically, customers using Truemed save an average of 30%.

These savings give customers more buying power, makes them less likely to churn, and helps to tip the scale for price sensitive spenders.

How exactly do customers spend from their HSA/FSA?

Eligible customers will:

  1. Qualify for HSA/FSA spending by completing the health survey behind your unique qualification link

  2. Make purchases from your business with their regular payment methods (ie. credit, debit cards)

  3. Submit their purchase receipt + the Letter of Medical Necessity to their HSA/FSA admin for reimbursement

Where to find your link

In order to start offering HSA/FSA reimbursement to your customers, you will need to find your Qualification Link to share with your customers (available on the Truemed dashboard).

This unique link will direct your customers to the Truemed health survey, the answers from which will be evaluated by a licensed provider to determine an individuals’ eligibility for HSA/FSA spending. Eligible customers will be prompted to pay a one-time $30 fee, after which the licensed provider will issue a Letter of Medical Necessity.

Monitoring engagement

In your Truemed dashboard under the "Qualifications" tab, you’ll be able to review who has taken the health survey, who is awaiting their LMN, and who has already received one.

This customer list can be exported to a .csv file via the button at the bottom of the table.
